Well, the hunt went pretty well, but the processing is killing me. Even with digital files, video edting is a long process.
Part of the problem is the learning curve and having to sift through a lot of files, about half of which are junk.
Another problem is that I’m thinking about two or three different projects I could do with these raw materials, including some informational clips for this blog.
So while I continue to crank away in Final Cut Express, here’s one clip from the day that worked out pretty well. This is shot with the 7D with the Hoodman loupe attached, giving me the feel of a viewfinder — which I loved. I shot at 200 ISO on Program, with the 70-200mm f2.8 lens, all on a monopod. (To any students reading this: do as I say, not as I do!)
